½” stone and Birdseye are commonly used in concrete and asphalt production. Their smaller, consistent size allows them to mix evenly, helping concrete cure properly and asphalt hold together under load.
All sizes, particularly 1” and 1¼” stone, are commonly used for backfilling around utilities such as water lines, sewer pipes, and electrical conduit. These materials drain well and reduce the risk of water buildup around buried infrastructure.
1” and 1¼” stone are ideal for drainage applications where water needs to flow freely. The larger, angular rock allows water to pass through easily, reducing pooling and preventing soil from becoming saturated.
Birdseye, ½” stone and 1" stone are popular choices for landscaping and decorative applications. These stones provide a clean, finished appearance and are well suited for garden beds, pathways, and decorative rock features.
For erosion control applications, larger rock sizes such as 1¼” are effective in stabilizing slopes, ditches, and areas exposed to heavy water runoff. These materials help hold soil in place and reduce washouts caused by moving water.
